IMA ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF ROBERT JENKINS AS CHAIRMAN

Following the Investment Management Association's Annual General Meeting last night, Robert Jenkins of F&C Asset Management has taken the position of Chairman. He succeeds Threadneedle's Simon Davies with immediate effect.

The AGM also saw changes to the IMA Board with the appointment of the following new members:

Peter Chambers, Legal & General Investment Management
William Nott, M&G
Keith Skeoch, Standard Life Investments

1. Robert Jenkins is the non-Executive Chairman of F&C Asset Management plc. Previously he served as Chief Executive of F&C Management for seven years before its merger with ISIS Asset Management in October 2004.

Prior to joining F&C, Mr. Jenkins spent 16 years with Citibank and 5 years at Credit Suisse.  At Citibank, he enjoyed senior management assignments in the Middle East, Switzerland, the US and Japan.  At Credit Suisse, he served as Chief Investment Officer, head of its asset management business in Japan and was subsequently Chief Operating Officer of Credit Suisse Asset Management in London.

Mr. Jenkins studied in the US, France and Italy. He holds a Masters Degree in International Economics and European Studies from John Hopkins University.

Robert Jenkins lives in London and is married with two children.
