IMA WELCOMES FSA’S ‘MENU OF CHARGES’

The IMA welcomes the launch today, of the FSA’s proposals “Reforming polarisation: A menu for being open with consumers”.

IMA has long advocated the benefits of financial advice and believes that the move towards transparent costs will enable investors to make informed decisions when choosing a financial adviser.

Richard Saunders, Chief Executive of the IMA commented;

"IMA welcomes the move towards greater transparency for the cost of advice. Educating consumers about the service they are paying for will encourage people to take advice in order to purchase the most appropriate products for their needs. One challenge for the FSA’s current financial capability review will be to get the message home to people that good advice is worth paying for.”
