IMA URGES JOINED-UP THINKING BY GOVERNMENT ON PENSIONS

The Investment Management Association (IMA) welcomes the Government’s moves towards “simplicity, security and choice” to help people take control of their retirement planning.  However, this is just one part of the jigsaw to joined-up Government policy.

Sheila Nicoll, Deputy Chief Executive of the IMA said:

“ Simplicity is the key. The Government must make the most of the opportunity to reform and simplify pensions tax. This is fundamental to ensuring that confidence in pension saving is maintained and consumers see the benefits in contributing towards their own retirement.”
