IMA WELCOMES THE PUBLICATION OF “BOOM AND BUST: THE EQUITY MARKET CRISIS”. A COLLECTION OF ESSAYS BY THE EUROPEAN ASSET MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (EAMA).

The Investment Management Association (IMA) has welcomed the publication of the European Asset Management Association’s (EAMA) “Boom and Bust: The equity market crisis – Lessons for asset managers and their clients”.

The book, a collection of essays by commentators from France, Germany, the UK and US, provides different perspectives and promotes wider understanding of the factors surrounding the equity market crash of 2000.

“Boom and bust” aims to help investment managers and their clients better understand the many complex factors that contributed to the crash, including the parts played by central banks, corporate management, day traders, analysts, consultants, fund managers, auditors and regulators.

Sheila Nicoll, Deputy Chief Executive of IMA commented:
