THE INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION’S ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The IMA’s annual conference will be held on Tuesday 7 October at The Great Eastern Hotel, London.

Following on from last year’s success the conference will look at issues facing the investment management industry focussing particularly on:

• Changing approaches to asset management benchmarking

• How the funds industry can win back the confidence of investors

• Corporate Governance and how fund managers can live up to expectations

• The benefits of creating a real EU market for investment funds

• Transaction costs

Richard Saunders, Chief Executive of the IMA commented:

“2003 has continued to be a difficult time for fund managers as markets in the first half of the year continued to fall. IMA’s conference will examine how the industry can rebuild the confidence of investors as well as looking in depth at the increasing importance of Europe to the retail market. It will also look at the increasing number of corporate governance issues and the importance of transaction costs.”
