LINDSAY
TOMLINSON ELECTED CHAIRMAN
OF
THE INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION
Simon
Ellis and Keith Jones join the IMA Board
At
yesterday’s Annual General Meeting of the Investment
Management Association, Lindsay Tomlinson, Chief Executive
Officer of Barclays Global Investors, Europe, was formally
elected as Chairman. He succeeds Alan Burton, Managing
Director, Mutual Funds, Standard Life Investments, who
retires this year.
Mr
Tomlinson is a member of Barclays Global Investors Executive
Committee and has been responsible for BGI’s European
businesses for over 10 years. A Cambridge mathematics
graduate and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, he is
also Chairman of the FTSE Policy Group.
At
its AGM, the IMA also elected two new members to its Board:
Simon Ellis, Head of UK Retail, Henderson Global Investors;
and Keith Jones, Chief Executive Officer, Morley Fund
Management Limited.
Mr Ellis will also become Chairman of the IMA’s
Investment Funds Committee.
