ADVISER TRAINING SOLUTIONS TO SANDLER RECOMMENDATIONS

The Investment Management Association welcomes Sandler’s recommendations that advisers should focus more on investment issues especially asset allocation.

The need for training in this area is the basis for its two training courses, one of which is run in conjunction with the AITC.  Details of the Understanding Investment Funds and the Portfolio Planning for Practitioners one-day workshops can be viewed here:   It also underpins the work it has been doing with the CII in developing a distance-learning package that has recently been launched.   Further details can be viewed here: Investment Workbook online

IMA has long campaigned for a better standard of investment knowledge amongst financial advisers who recommend investment funds.  It is currently working with the FSA on its review of adviser exams.
