Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS) Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS) gives advice to the European Commission on banking policy issues and promotes cooperation and convergence of supervisory practice across the European Union. Committee of European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Supervisors (CEIOPS) CEIOPS was established under the terms of the European Commission Decision 2004/6/EC of 5 November 2003 and is composed of high level representatives from the insurance and occupational pensions supervisory authorities of the European Union's Member States. Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) CESR is a European committee formed of representatives from the regulatory bodies of each member state. The UK is represented on this committee by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Irish Funds Industry Association (IFIA) The Irish Funds Associaiton is the representative body for the international investment fund community in Ireland. EFAMA (European Funds and Asset Management Association) is the pan-European umbrella organisation of the investment funds industry of the EU Member States. The ECB is the central bank for Europe's single currency, the euro. The ECB's main task is to maintain the euro's purchasing power and thus price stability in the euro area. The euro area comprises the 13 European Union countries that have introduced the euro since 1999. The Council of Ministers of the EU Member States The European Commission is the policy making body for the European Union (EU) which consists of 25 members states committed to working together for peace and prosperity. European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) The ECGI is an international scientific non-profit association. It provides a forum for debate and dialogue between academics, legislators and practitioners, focusing on major corporate governance issues and promoting best practice. The European Parliament is elected by the citizens of the EU and aims to reflect the concerns of the public, both as producers and consumers to ensure that a truly competitive Europe exists. This is the association for Swedish investment funds, and was founded to look after the collective interests of management companies and investors alike in all dealings with public authorities and legislators. Inverco is the Spanish trade association for the collective investment and pension funds industries. Institutional Money Market Funds Association (IMMFA) IMMFA is the trade body representing providers of triple-A rated money market funds registered in Dublin, Luxembourg and the Channel Islands.
