Our Products & Services

IMA offers a range of products and services, mainly for its member firms, but some are open to non-members.   In particular we run two training courses for manager-level new entrants to the industry. 

IMA Training courses 

IMA offers two courses on retail and institutional business.  They both run for two days and provide a comprehensive overview of the mechanics of the business in the UK market.

IMA encourages its members to work together in developing standards, qualifications and good practice guidance for the sector as a whole.     

IMA members can view the following output, plus information on a range of other activities and services, by logging on to the members’ site.

• Standards and qualifications, with links to the Financial Services Skills Council and other partners, such as the Securities & Investment Institute and the Chartered Insurance Institute.
• Good practice guidance, including a Training & Competence Toolkit and guidance on Anti-Money Laundering Training practices, both focusing on the investment sector.
• Training materials on significant regulatory changes for use in-house.  For example, the new regulations for Collective Investments.
• Summary reports from seminars and briefings on training and HR issues
• A Q & A Forum, where members ask questions of other members on training and HR issues and a training directory
